Shikwaru Lodge - Your Base Camp

Once you have been "fetched" from the airport by one of our staff members you will be taken directly to your base camp, Shikwaru Lodge for the duration of your adventure. 

Shikwaru Lodge offers a wide variety of accommodations to match your hunting and camping needs from private luxury rooms to group housing and smaller cabin type lodging. Whether you are a seasoned hunter able to sleep out in the bush in a tent or an observer that would rather have the luxury of a properly furnished chalet Shikwaru and its staff can make your adventure memorable.   Each of these units is grouped into a Camp and the camps are spread throughout the rolling hills of this concession.  To see photos of Shikwaru Lodge and more about the your choices of chalets or luxury tent camps please visit our photo web page by clicking here.

Other concessions and venues:

If your hunting or sightseeing adventure includes off site travel and perhaps even and overnight stay away from base camp we will make sure that it will be every bit of what you expect in meals, sleeping arrangements, maid service, bathing facilities and even the evening "braii." 

You will be taken by one of our staff members in our vehicle to the new venue and we will make sure that all arrangements are to your satisfaction and will not leave until your luggage or return itinerary is all taken care of an in hand. 

Upon return to Shikwaru you will be met by a freshly cleaned room and as soon as possible some light refreshments.

If for some reason you need to make changes to your stay or adventure Ubuntu will see to it that your needs will be met to the best of our abilities.  Our staff will be on hand to help you with any necessary arrangements.
