Pilanesberg National Park
Pilanesberg National Park is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Shikwaru Lodge.
It is a hiker, sightseer and photographer's dream. You can stay for just
the day or several days.
Sun City
Just outside of Pilanesberg National Park Sun City can proved a day's enjoyment
or and entire week's worth of fun in the sun. Everything from a
professional golf course, casino, water parks and lakes to big name night time
entertainment.
Makopane (Potgietersrus)
Just under a 30 minute ride from Shikwaru Lodge Makopane provides shopping,
restaurants sightseeing and an evening of local entertianment.
Durban
A large city by the sea that will give you everything that you would expect from
friendly people to shopping at the upper class stores. Almost a days drive
from Shikwaru it is worth spending an entire weekend.
Kruger National Park
Larger than Pilanesberg but just as inviting. We can tailor trips to this
fantastic wild life game park that can last just a day to a weekend or even a
week. About a 3 1/2 hour ride can get you there just before the sun sets.
Etosha
National Park
Etosha has to be reached by plane. A flight from Johannesburg to Windhoek
and then just a short ride to the park will bring you in contact with Namibian
wildlife. You will pass over the Naibian desert which is a sight in
itself.
